Abstract

The NEP is widely used, but rarely assessed. This project aimed to evaluate multiple facets of the scale's reliability and validity. Critically, it was discovered that particular items were interpreted in different ways by participants. The alternative interpretations, however, seemed to positively influence the scale’s capacity to measure environmental beliefs.
