Abstract

The current study evaluated enhancement drinking motives (EDM), depressive symptoms, and alcohol-related negative consequences in a large sample of college students. EDM were positively associated with depressive symptoms and negative consequences. Furthermore, depressive symptoms moderated the relationship between EDM and negative consequences. Clinical implications and future directions will be discussed.
