Abstract

The Hippocampus plays an integral role in the formation of new memories. Hippocampal size is related to memory functioning. This study combined surveys and brain MRI scans to investigate gender difference in the relationship between verbal memory and hippocampal size. Hippocampal volumes better predicted memory functioning in females than males.
