Innovative Methods to Capture a Nuanced Understanding of Parenting and Parent Emotion Regulation In Context
This symposium brings together new tools that move beyond static views of parenting to show it as a regulated, relational, and context-shaped process. Using large-scale surveys, dynamic observations, and caregiver-recorded video narratives, four studies illustrate how parents across diverse backgrounds navigate emotional, developmental, and socioeconomic challenges in adaptive ways.
