Psychological, Physiological, and Neural Predictors of Internet Gaming Disorder In Adolescents
We examined psychological and neural predictors of adolescent IGD. Phase I (N= 159) regression showed weekly gaming, distress, and sex predicted IGD (R²= .44); mediation and moderation models clarified links with loneliness and coping. Phase II single-case EEG/HRV showed pre-gaming hyperarousal and low vagal tone normalizing after gaming.
