Diversifying Intergroup Perceptions and Dynamics to Understand Competition and Solidarity
Subject Area: Identity, Culture & Social Inequality
Four lines of research highlight the complexity of intergroup perceptions and dynamics. Findings across these lines of research underscore the need for diversifying perspectives and integrating frameworks (e.g., intersectionality, structural ideologies, and goal-based approaches) to understand prejudice and promote solidarity in an increasingly diverse society.
