Navigating Intergroup Dynamics In Higher Education: Climate, Contact, and Career Choices
We examine how racism, same- and cross-group contact, and social dominance orientation shape student outcomes (career choices, stress levels, racial bias) in undergraduate institutions and medical schools, using varied methodologies (cross-sectional data, longitudinal surveys, interventions). We also investigate underlying mechanisms and identify factors that counteract racism’s negative impact.
