Globalizing Resilience: Evidence on How Situational, Structural, and Cultural Contexts Shape Resilience Prevalence, Mechanisms, and Interventions
Resilience—defined as the maintenance of mental health following adversity—varies widely across populations, yet the contextual determinants of these differences remain unclear. This symposium synthesizes evidence to show how situational, structural, and cultural contexts shape the prevalence and mechanisms of resilience and moderate the effectiveness of resilience interventions worldwide.
