Advancing the Science of LGBTQ Mental Health: From Identifying Risks to Implementing Affirmative Care
This symposium showcases four distinct scientific advances in the global effort understand/alleviate the LGBTQ population’s disproportionate mental health burden—from clarifying risk factors among representative samples (Benjamin Smart, MD) and identifying pathways/targets for intervention (Richard Bränström, PhD) to developing novel treatments (Skyler Jackson, PhD) and optimizing their implementation (John Pachankis, PhD).
