Unpacking How ACEs Shape Risk Behavior: Advancing Understanding through a Dimensional Lens
Adverse childhood experiences predict risk behavior, but the specific drivers and mechanisms remain unclear. The Dimensional Model of Adversity, distinguishing threat and deprivation, offers a promising framework. This symposium examines ACE–risk behavior links in vulnerable groups, integrating diverse perspectives from meta-analytic and empirical work in risk samples.
