Positive and Protective Factors In the Mental Health of Minoritized People
Often researchers use deficit framing for the mental health of minoritized populations (sexual and gender minorities, older adults, people living with HIV, racial/ethnic minorities, immigrants and people living with disabilities). This symposium discusses positive factors related to the mental health such as identity affirmation, social support, positive affect, and resilience.
