Modulation of Executive Functioning
Executive functions (EFs) allow for strategic regulation of behavior. Here, we explore how EFs can be modulated, with variability in efficient implementation. We consider how value-cues modulate working memory prioritization, how cognitive training modulates the locus coeruleus-salience network, and how healthy aging modulates the use of EF during mnemonic discrimination.
