Breaking the Cycle: Global Evidence on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) across Lifespan and Generations
Why do adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) matter across generations? To answer this question, decades of global evidence informed three meta-analyses: (1) determinants of ACEs prevalence; (2) socioeconomic status mediating ACEs and adult depression; and (3) intergenerational pathways from parent ACEs to child mental health via parental mental health.
