Exercising Physical and Mental Effort: On the Nature of Transfer Effects between Effortful Action, Cognition and Motivation
This symposium examines the conditions under which effortful physical and mental activities influence cognitive performance and motivation. Findings from diverse research perspectives (including cognitive, physical, musical, mindfulness, and effort training research) will be presented and discussed within an integrative framework emphasizing processing efficiency, motivation, and self-regulation.
