Institutional Vulnerabilities to Political Capture

Abstract
Drawing on institutional analysis and the Trump Action Tracker, this talk shows how key scientific bodies and are vulnerable to political interference through a range of mechanisms from funding dependence, to legal status to leadership. I outline some ways of strengthening institutional resilience before it is too late.
