Abstract

We propose an approach to computationally modelling arbitrarily applicable relational responding (AARR) that distinguishes AARR observed in human adults from the development of AARR. AARR in adults can be modelled as computational reinforcement learning with relational knowledge, as we demonstrate with simulations of AARR in behavioural experiments.
