Abstract
We tested biobehavioral pathways linking psychological distress, interpersonal disconnection, and childhood trauma exposure to health outcomes (n = 368 adults). Current perceived stress and interpersonal needs showed reliable direct associations with inflammatory and autonomic dysregulation, while early trauma conditioned how interpersonal disconnection translated into depressive, functional impairment, and pain outcomes.
