Abstract
This study examined how 4- to 18-year-olds evaluate post-moral benefit-claiming and benefit-forfeiting behaviors and how these observed behaviors shaped their willingness to take moral actions. Using generalized additive models, we identified nonlinear developmental shifts, highlighting middle childhood to early adolescence as a sensitive period for responding to benefit forfeiting.
