Abstract

Mind-wandering and boredom fluctuate within individuals yet also reflect stable dispositions. In an ecological momentary assessment study with 102 adults, we investigated within-person variability over 30 days including an autoregressive component and tested if and how momentary states of mind-wandering and boredom are predicted by participants’ trait tendencies.
