At the Genesis of Secondary Control Strategies: A Multi-Method Validation of Young Children’s Action Regulation

We propose a multi-method validation of a tablet-based measure of young children’s primary and emerging secondary control strategies. Drawing on the LEAPS cohort, we combine repeated tablet assessments with child interviews, parent/teacher reports, and behavioural observations to examine construct validity, developmental appropriateness, and predictive links to early school achievement.
