Abstract

We investigated whether personalized inclusive stories enhance young children’s attitudes toward disability. Ninety-nine children read a control, an inclusive story, or personalized versions. Personalization—especially when focused on the main character—led to greater cognitive, affective, and behavioral improvements. Findings highlight personalized stories as an effective early-education intervention tool.
