Abstract

We examined whether genetic factors underlying specific personality traits serve as differential susceptibility in the development of a broad range of personality traits. The NEO Personality Inventory-Revised was completed by 500 Canadian and 888 Japanese monozygotic twins. For both countries, within-pair differences were larger for pairs with higher average Openness.
