Abstract
We examined the relations between the experiences and behaviors among 157 African mothers, and the behaviors of their 4-7 year old children. Mothers' adverse childhood experiences were associated with sensitive parenting, harsh parenting, and children's externalizing behavior, with specific relations moderated by family support.
