Abstract
This study examined whether special education status or district staffing shapes the link between children’s self-reported problem behavior and disciplinary incidents among 3,112 students. Self-reported behavior strongly predicted disciplinary involvement, and no moderation effects emerged, indicating consistent associations across student subgroups and district contexts.
