Interoceptive Dysfunction As a Pathway between Trauma and Relapse Risk In Formerly Incarcerated Adults
- Alicia Kolnicki

Abstract
This proposal examines whether interoceptive dysfunction helps explain how childhood trauma increases relapse vulnerability during community reentry. A cross-sectional survey of formerly incarcerated adults will assess trauma, interoception, and craving. Findings are expected to support a mechanistic model identifying interoception as a modifiable target for trauma-informed relapse-prevention interventions.
