Abstract
Altered body-related sounds can evoke effects resembling body-ownership illusions. To test whether body sounds are processed as part of the body rather than action consequences, we use an auditory-attenuation task after manipulating the synchrony (sync/async) and the source (egocentric/allocentric) of footstep sounds.
