Abstract
Despite the rising popularity of the Sarcasm Self-Report Scale, its structure is based only on principal component analysis. We strengthen its validity by performing confirmatory factor analysis on a sample of 948 participants. The best model replicates the four original factors and adds a second-order factor for better interpretability.
