Abstract

We investigated whether mothers of children with Down Syndrome (n=20) change their multimodal input over time and whether child-based factors explain this change. We found that parental multi-modal input remained largely unchanged over time and child’s cognitive ability predicted changes in the lexical diversity and complexity of maternal speech input.
