Abstract
We examined community violence exposure and mental health in 500 Mexican university students. Personal victimization and witnessing violence were assessed alongside anxiety, depressive symptoms, and PTSS. Both forms of exposure significantly predicted poorer psychological outcomes, highlighting the mental-health risks faced by young adults in high-violence communities.
