Abstract
This study explored objective and subjective perceptions of socioeconomic status (SES) and familial well-being (FWB) among a rural sample of 200 Mexican adults. Neither measure of SES was significantly associated with FWB. However, despite multiple structural barriers, families developed alternative means of currency to afford essential supplies.
