Abstract
Using a participatory, community-informed approach with 32 participants, the qualitative study found that Latine adults with serious mental illness face barriers such as cultural mistrust, stigma, and being reduced to a diagnosis. Recovery is supported by psychoeducation, motivating providers, and person-centered care, though providers also noted systemic barriers.
