Abstract

We analyzed statewide public attitudes toward mental health and substance use (N = 416) to develop and validate scales reflecting stigma and recovery beliefs. A four-factor structure was identified and showed good reliability and validity, demonstrating the value of theory-driven stigma measurement for community-level health engagement.
