Abstract
We used a dyadic approach to examine associations between depressive symptoms, self-disclosure, and relationship satisfaction among 65 romantic couples (Mage = 19.4 years). Individuals with greater depressive symptoms reported less self-disclosure, which, in turn, was associated with lower relationship satisfaction only when their partners also had greater depressive symptoms.
