Abstract
We examined Social Cognitive Theory determinants that influence long-term alcohol recovery. Fifteen individuals in recovery completed 60–90-minute semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis revealed that recovery relies on reciprocal shifts across environmental (supportive contexts), personal (insight), and behavioral (skill acquisition) domains, highlighting mechanisms that sustain or disrupt recovery.
