Abstract
Financial exploitation risk may be linked to adult reward processing. Adults (N=275) reported exploitation risk, depression, and need to belong and completed social peer and monetary gain/loss tasks during fMRI. Exploitation risk decreased with age (R=-.21). Ventral striatum activation distinguished reward from punishment but had no relationship with age.
