Understanding How Early Childhood Environments Shape Children’s Language Development: A Descriptive, Multi-Site Study

Abstract
This study compares Neighborhood Childcare Centers to examine how environmental factors shape children’s language development. Using a descriptive-design and Social Network Analysis, it documents language exposure, interaction patterns, and linguistic diversity. Expected findings are that richer input and stronger social networks support greater vocabulary, flexibility, and positive perceptions of language.
