Abstract
We examined whether children’s (n=359, ages 9–11) performance on working-memory tasks reflects a general WM factor, content domains (numerical, verbal, spatial), or task paradigms (n-back, complex span). Confirmatory factor analyses showed that performance was best explained by paradigm-related factors rather than by content domains or a single WM factor.
