Abstract
In older adults, using medical cannabis (MC) for somatic symptoms was associated with lower Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD) symptoms via engagement in safe use practices. In contrast, using MC for affective symptoms demonstrated an inverse association with safe use strategies, and subsequently, higher use and more CUD symptoms.
