Two Different Preschool Temperament Measures As Predictors of Academic and Adjustment Outcomes In Elementary School
- Jeffrey Gagne

Abstract
A global measure of preschool temperament significantly predicted elementary school academic functioning, depression, overanxiousness, prosocial behavior, asocial peers and social inhibition. A more comprehensive measure of preschool temperament employing more specific and time-oriented items and subscale dimensions reflecting fear and self-regulation showed more specificity and predicted many more outcomes.
