Law Enforcement Selection: Examining the Factor Structure of a Structured Interview

Confirmatory factor analysis of eight interview questions used for Cadet Selection at a Law Enforcement Agency supported a single factor structure. Two behavioral questions counted for the most score variability, while one situational question was nonsignificant. Findings show the interview assesses one competency that is driving the variability in scores.
