Teachers’ Trait Gratitude, Basic Psychological Needs, Occupational Self-Efficacy, and Work Engagement

Abstract
There are 372 valid questionnaires from junior high school teachers examining trait gratitude, basic psychological needs, occupational self-efficacy, and work engagement. Results showed basic psychological needs mediated the gratitude-engagement relationship, while occupational self-efficacy moderated this effect. Female teachers and less-experienced teachers demonstrated higher engagement, providing evidence-based recommendations for teacher development.
