Abstract
We present an artificial language task developed as a paradigm for language aptitude research. Learners acquire the language system through active interaction across extended sessions, allowing trial-by-trial modeling of vocabulary and grammar learning. The project examines how cognitive functions and first language abilities predict individual differences in second language acquisition.
