Abstract
Across two studies (N = 1,248), we mapped perceived interdependence from teams to nations, and the world and showed it is a distinct construct predicting prosociality beyond similarity and identity. Perceived interdependence does not necessarily decline with increasing scale, unlike similarity and identity, and remains strongly linked to global cooperation.
