Exploring Motivational Food Processing In Satiated and Non-Satiated Food Signals In Obesity: An fMRI Study

We examined how satiety influences motivational processing of food cues in obesity using an fMRI reinforcement-learning task. Adults with obesity (n≈26) and normo-weight controls (n≈26) completed food and monetary reward trials involving item-specific devaluation. We report preliminary behavioral and neural findings regarding food-value updating in obesity.
