Community Violence Exposure and Mental Health Symptom Networks

Network analysis revealed 15 item-level associations between the frequency of specific community violence exposures and mental health symptoms. Interpersonal mistrust and perceived abandonment were high-centrality symptoms related to community violence exposures, highlighting influential symptoms that may activate broader elevations in mental health symptoms and be specific targets for intervention.
