Establishing a Foundation for Learning Disability Research: Stereotype Content and Accommodation Perceptions In the Workplace

We examined workplace perceptions of adults with learning disabilities. Participants consistently rated individuals with learning disabilities as higher in warmth than competence, while open-ended responses revealed perceptions of incompetence and laziness. Assistive technology was perceived as fairer and associated with higher competence than task support or extra time accommodations.
