Abstract
Students with lower belongingness may have increased psychological distress. In 126 students, belonging uncertainty (M=46.1; SD=21.9) was strongly associated with poorer mental health (M = 60.6, SD = 19.8), as indicated by a latent SEM showing a large standardized effect (β =.65, p<.001; CFI =.92, TLI=.89, SRMR=.06, RMSEA=.11).
