Abstract
This study investigates whether participants (N=320) can infer a demonstrator’s choice preferences while completing a 4-arm bandit task, even when those preferences are irrelevant to one’s own reward outcomes. While behavioral results point to the presence of spontaneous tracking of other's preferences, computational modelling shows variability in the population.
