Abstract

This study tested whether parental emotion socialization predicts the rate of symptom change among youth (N=97) enrolled in an evidence-based and modularized form of CBT for anxiety and depression symptoms. Results indicated that pre-treatment supportive emotion socialization predicted steeper symptom improvement, and unsupportive socialization predicted slower symptom change.
