Abstract
Natural language processing (NLP) offers opportunities to measure emotional processes at scale, including generating quantitative measures of emotional valence in order to measure emotional deescalation during clinical interactions. We describe the process of adapting an NLP model developed to assess emotional valence in English for Spanish-language conversational data.
